The North Central Gas Expo will be held on Thursday October 14th at Clearview St. Marys Building in St. Marys, PA at the former Walmart building, from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. To obtain information visit the expo’s website at www.northcentralgasexpo.com.
The North Central Gas Expo will bring together the natural gas industry and local business entrepreneurs to explore the opportunities that are emerging out of the Marcellus natural gas Marcellus natural gas development. The industry is raving about the quality and quantity of natural gas in Pennsylvania. Industry leaders are taking note and putting major resources into the region. Taking the opportunity to be part of expo in St. Marys, Pennsylvania is a must if you and your business is interested in becoming part of this emerging industry.

In addition, the workshop will introduce you to some of the documents, requirements, and processes you may run into while pursuing businesses opportunities with the industry. Examples of documents, requirements and processes include: Required Safety Training, Insurance Requirements, Master Services Agreements, and Terms and Conditions.

Marcellus Shale Basics for Landowners ~ 1:00 & 3:00
This presentation will provide information landowners may find helpful before signing a lease. To include certain things commonly seen in a lease and what they mean as well as things to look out for. Examples: What is a pugh clause? Gas storage, Dunham’s Rule, horizontal severance clause, payments for property damage, pipelines, etc.

Water Test Interpretive Workshop ~ 3:00

This workshop will focus on the management of private water supplies and interpretation of water test reports. Participants will learn how to understand the complicated water pre and post test reports, as well as, drinking water standards, chain of custody forms, various water test parameters and comparing test results with standards.
