The Show Must Go On

Despite a lack of funding the Potter County Fair will open this year

MILLPORT – This year’s Potter County Fair in Millport will still be held, despite cuts in funding for the show.

State grants were slashed from $18,000 to $10,000 last year for the Fair, but organizers say ‘The Show Must Go On’.

At least three other counties had to cancel their Fairs due to the cuts, but the Potter County Fair Association is dedicated to keeping the Potter County Fair open.

The Potter County Fair is one of the few County Fairs that does not require admission or parking fees to attend.

The Fair will open on August 1, and will continue until August 7.
