A 21-year-old Roaring Branch man was killed Wednesday morning when his pickup truck and a construction vehicle loaded with asphalt collided on an icy patch of Route 14, triggering an explosive fire, state police said.

TROUT RUN – A 21-year-old Roaring Branch man was killed Wednesday morning when his pickup truck and a construction vehicle loaded with asphalt collided on an icy patch of Route 14, triggering an explosive fire, state police said.
While the driver of the asphalt truck managed to climb out, Christopher L. Swain, the pickup truck driver likely was killed instantly in the crash around 7 a.m., police said.
