A series of meetings was held at the Gunzburger Building in Coudersport to share information with municipal officials in Potter County about road bonding, maintenance agreements, impact of overweight and oversized vehicles, enforcement actitivities, dirt and gravel road issues and related topics. Each township and borough was slotted for appointments with officials from the Northcentral Local Transportation Assistance Program (LTAP) and PennDOT, among others. They also received a booklet with sample ordinances and other information. The topics are timely because of the increased traffic connected with natural gas drilling throughout the region.
Potter County Planning Director Charlotte Dietrich (right) reported that all but a handful of municipalities in the county took advantage of the opportunity for the one-on-one meetings, which were sponsored by her department and the Potter County Board of Commissioners.
