Toyota vs. Freightliner

Investigator Craig Wharton of the Mansfield PSP reports that on 4-6-12 at 9:20 hours he investigated a crash which occurred on Susquehanna Trl south of Cushion Road.  A Toyota Tundra driven by Matthew Catellier, 55, of Mansfield and a 2006 Freightliner driven by James Marshall-Sadler, 47, of Friendship, NY were travelling south on SR2005.  Catellier attempted to pass a vehicle that was in front of him, however he failed to observe that Marshall-Sadler was attempting to pass him and the other vehicle.  The Toyota travelled into the left lane and the left front of it struck the right front tire area of the Freightliner.  The Toyota went out of control and slid sideways in front of the Freightliner.  The Toyota then struck a section of bridge rail and guard rail off the east berm, then came to final rest off the east berm.  Marshall-Sadler was able to maintain control of the Freightliner and pulled off onto the west berm.  No charges will be filed.  No injuries were reported.
