Toyota vs Peterbilt

Trooper Robert Evanchick of the Mansfield PSP reports on a crash which took place on 4-23-12 at 0156 hours on US Highway 6 252 feet east of T936.  Walter Otten, 47, of Galeton, PA was stopped in his 2012 Peterbilt in the westbound lane facing west on SR6 due to other vehicles stuck in the roadway farther west due to snowy road conditions.  As he was stopped, Ashleigh Fothergill, 20, of Quakertown, PA, driving her 2002 Toyota Camry, was travelling west in the westbound lane of SR 6.  The front of her Toyota had initial impact with the left rear of the Peterbilt.  The Toyota sustained disabling damage.  The Peterbilt sustained minor damage.  The toyota was towed from the scene by Burkholder’s Towing.  The Peterbilt was driven from the scene under its own power.  No injuries were reported.  Assisted at the scene by Mansfield Fire Department.  No charges were filed.
