Tractor Trailer Struck Bear on Route 6
1 min readULYSSES TWP. – No one was injured when a 2008 Volvo tractor trailer, operated by 53-year-old Evonne M. Byrd, of Chappell, NE, struck a bear on Route 6 near mile marker 193.
Police say the crash happened yesterday at 3:10 am when a bear walked in front of the tractor trailer.
The truck suffered disabling damage to the front grill and radiator.
Portville Towing assisted State Police at the scene.
