Trial Date Set for Eldred Firefighter Accused of Arson

Arson-related charges against 39-year-old Scott McClain of Eldred, PA, were bound to McKean County Court on Monday, December 7.

A trial date of January 10, 2011 has been scheduled in McKean County court.

McClain is accused of setting fire to the Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Department on August 6 and the Eldred Borough Fire Station on October 19.

He faces charges of Arson with Danger of Death or Injury(F1), Arson Endangering Property(F2), and Criminal Mischief(F3) for each fire set.

Officials say further charges may be pending against McClain, who previously admitted to setting the fires in a statement given to police.
