Truck Driver Jailed after Throwing Marijuana Grinder out Window
1 min readTIOGA CO. – A Hendersonville, NC, truck driver was arrested and sent to jail after he allegedly threw a marijuana grinder out his window.
Police say they stopped 41-year-old Clete C. Flanagan along Route 15 in Richmond Township on June 6.
Police determined at the time Flanagan was operating a U-Haul truck in commerce as a moving company for hire. During the course of a motor carrier inspection, police allege Flanagan threw the marijuana grinder out his window. The grinder was said to have struck the body of the truck, and was recovered by one of the officers on the scene. A subsequent search of the truck yielded additional marijuana.
Flanagan was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a commercial motor vehicle without a log book and operating a commercial motor vehicle without a medical examiner’s certificate.
Flanagan was committed to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
A Preliminary Hearing was scheduled in District Court 04-3-03.
