Ulysses Boy Okay After Being Hit by a Car

ULYSSES – A 12-year-old boy was flown via medicopter to Geisinger Medical Center today after being struck by an SUV in Ulysses today at 1:15 pm. Police report that the youth was traveling South on South Main Street on the edge of the Northbound lane when his bicycle caught the edge of the roadway, causing him to lose control of his bicycle and enter into the path of a 2005 Chevrolet SUV, driven by Seth J. Burrous Sr., 56, of Galeton. The child was then transported via medicopter. A State Police news release indicated that the extent of the child’s injuries were not believed to be serious, but were unknown. However, sources have informed us that the child will be okay. The SUV suffered minor damage in the accident. Tri-town fire and EMS assisted at the scene. An investigation remains open.
