Ulysses Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash near Gold Yesterday
1 min readULYSSES TWP. – A Ulysses man died in a dirt-bike accident yesterday afternoon, just south of Gold, PA.
At the time of the crash, reports indicated a motorcyclist was lying in the road and unconscious at the intersection of the Rooks Road and the Brookland Road in Ulysses Township.
Dead is 39-year-old Kerry M. Lewis, of Water Street, Ulysses, PA.
Police say Lewis was operating a dirt-bike without a helmet on an access road near Newfield Junction Road, when he lost control of the off road motorcycle and crashed. Police say Lewis was ejected from the dirt-bike during the crash.
Potter County Deputy Coroner Kenneth Wingo pronounced Lewis dead at the scene. Potter County Coroner Kevin Dusenbury assisted Wingo at the scene.
Tri-Town Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
Please make a correction to your story. Was he on a ATV or a dirt bike with out a helmet. It does effect us motorcycles how a report is written.
Mike, he was on a dirt-bike, but the crash is classified as an ATV accident.
