Unofficial Results From Tuesday’s Primary Election

electionresultsFollowing are unofficial results from the Tuesday, April 24, Primary Election. Results will continue to be updated as returns arrive at the Office of Elections in the Gunzburger Building.

With 5 of 33 precincts reporting, unofficial results are:

President (Republican): Newt Gingrich 17; Mitt Romney 133; Ron Paul 30; Rick Santorum 59.

President (Democrat): Barack Obama 38.

U.S. Senate (Republican): David Alan Christian 20; Marc A. Scaringi 19,; Steven D. Welch 22; Tom Smith 79; Sam Rohrer 73.

U.S. Senate (Democrat): Joseph John Vodvarka 16; Bob Casey Jr. 37.

Attorney General (Republican): David J. Freed 186.

Attorney General (Democrat): Kathleen G. Kane 27; Patrick Murphy 27.

Auditor General (Republican): Frank A. Pinto 45; John Maher 142.

Auditor General (Democrat): Eugene A. DePasquale, 49.

Treasurer (Republican): Diane Irey Vaughan 181.

Treasurer (Democrat): Robert M. McCord 50.

Martin Causer was unopposed for the Republican nomination for another two-year term representing the 67th District in the Pa. House of Representatives. There were no candidates for the Democratic nod. Likewise, Republican Joe Scarnati was unopposed the party’s nomination to run for another four-year term representing the 25th District in the State Senate. The Democratic ballot was blank. Congressman Glenn Thompson, a Republican from Centre County, is running for another two-year term. He was unopposed for the GOP nomination Tuesday. Running unopposed for the Democratic nomination was Charles Dumas, also from Centre County.
