This class is a must for anyone considering a career in Pipe Welding or any job that involves fabrication work. During this course, you will be introduced to the essential elements of blueprint reading, basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Telecommunications Technologies Certification: Connecting to the Future
The information explosion has caused the telecommunications industry to advance faster than any other field. Cabling technicians are needed now, and will be far into the future, as fiber optic cable is being laid across America. Eventually, it will run to every school, hospital, business and private residence.
Earn your industry-recognized C-Tech Telecommunications Technologies Certification by completing 110 hours of specialized training which includes: Telecommunications: Technology Systems; Network Cabling: Copper-Based Systems; and Network Cabling: Fiber Optic-Based Systems. Complete the course and receive a field toolkit to help you get started.

Photography Workshop with Curt Weinhold
Perplexed by nomenclature in the owner’s manual? Learn how to properly use your new or not so new digital camera at this class. From exposing an image to loading it to the computer, we will learn the basics in this two-hour course.
Lens choices, memory cards and that oftentimes confusing menu system built into your camera – Curt explains how to set up your camera for several conditions, such as action (kids or sports), landscapes and close-ups. Please bring a camera and appropriate memory card. We ask that you have some familiarity with your particular camera controls.

Machinist Fundamentals
The Potter County Education Council is offering a Machinist Fundamentals class at its Port Allegany location. Machinists are highly skilled employees that use drawings, precision measuring tools, drilling machines, grinders, lathes, milling machines, and other specialized machines to shape and finish metal and nonmetal parts. During this course, you will learn the fundamentals of shop safety; understanding drawings; taking precision measurements; doing layout work; using drilling machines, grinders, sawing and cutoff machines, lathes, and milling machines.

School Community Relations from ESU live in Coudersport
This 3-graduate credit course, offered through the Professional and Secondary Education department of East Stroudsburg University, presents public relations as a comprehensive concept of interpretation for the public schools. Tenets, means, agents, and agencies to produce increased social understanding and appreciation of the educational function among school personnel and the general public are discussed.
This course is being held at the Coudersport office of the Potter County Education Council on Fridays 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., March 2, 3, 30, 31, May 4, and May 5, 2012.
