Update: Standoff in Potter Brook Between Ulysses and Westfield in Tioga County

Neighbors report gunshots after route 49 was closed down for hours

POTTER BROOK – State Police are still refusing to confirm or deny reports that a standoff ended last night with police shooting a man in Potter Brook.

Neighbors have told us that Route 49 in Potter Brook was shutdown for hours with State Police and a Special Emergency Response Team surrounding a residence there. A Ulysses resident told us she was unable to return to Ulysses for several hours after traveling to Westfield early last night.

Another neighbor reports gunshots were heard sometime around 11:30 pm last night.

Police tell CoudyNews that no information will be given until an official news release is issued.
