Veterans’ Benefits Open House Friday At Legion Post 192

Congressman Glenn Thompson is coming to Potter County this week to meet with military veterans and their families. Purpose of his visit is to share information about federal programs and benefits and to obtain input from veterans on their needs or concerns. Rep. Thompson will be at American Legion Post 192 in Coudersport from noon to 1:30 pm on Friday, May 20.

The congressman said some veterans who would qualify for assistance may be unaware of services such as business training, counseling, continuing education and housing. He’ll be joined at Friday’s session with a representative from the U.S. Small Business Administration. A similar veterans’ outeach meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, at the Warren Legion (1 to 2:30) and at the Bradford Legion (7-9 pm).
