Violent Incident at Sheetz

A disturbing incident occurred at a Sheetz convenience store in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, on December 29, when a man allegedly assaulted a woman in his vehicle. According to state police, Kenneth Lamar Boyer IV, 26, of Lykens, attacked the 23-year-old victim around 9:45 p.m. while parked in the store’s parking lot.

The situation escalated when the victim attempted to flee and return to her own car. Boyer allegedly used his vehicle to ram into the driver’s side door of her car while she was still inside. Fortunately, the victim was able to escape, and Boyer fled the scene.

Boyer, who is currently on probation for a similar offense, has been charged with multiple counts, including aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 5.

This incident raises concerns about repeat offenders and the effectiveness of probation in preventing future violent crimes. Boyer’s history of similar offenses, including a guilty plea to strangulation and aggravated assault in 2025, highlights the need for closer monitoring and stricter penalties for those who pose a threat to public safety.

The incident also underscores the importance of supporting victims of domestic violence and ensuring that they have access to resources and protection. As the community grapples with the aftermath of this incident, it is essential to prioritize the safety and well-being of all individuals, particularly those who are most vulnerable to violence and abuse.
