Wal-Mart Still Moving to Wellsville

According to the Wellsville Daily, Wal-Mart representatives have said they still plan on bringing a Wal-Mart to Wellsville.

“We’re moving forward with it. We’re moving close to resolving pending issues,” said Alexandra Serra, senior manager of public affairs for Wal-Mart. “I can tell you 100 percent that we’re still planning to build in the community.
“We know that store is going to bring about 200 jobs to the community. We’re really looking forward to serving the community so people can save money,” she said.
The jobs available will cover all aspects of a Wal-Mart store, Serra said.

Construction of a new Wal-Mart at the old airport off of Airway Road was expected to begin at some point this year, but according to the Wellsville Daily, attorneys are still buttoning up loose ends before the project begins.
