Wellsville’s been JUMPed

A mountain of returnable cans and bottles and over 1/4 ton of food items were collected on a JUMP Day that saw 280 Wellsville Middle School students taking to the streets, trails and nursing homes.
“I heard nothing but good things from everyone,” said organizer Lois Miller when the day was over.
Miller founded Jump Up Middle School Participation (JUMP Day) 12 years ago, as a day to teach kids, by doing, to give back to the community.
“We had some very proud kids I had one boy tell me three times that ladies stopped on Main Street to tell them they were doing a good job. He was very proud,” she said. Read original article here
