Ponderosa out of business after 11 years

When Ponderosa closed at 5 p.m. Monday night, its time on Bolivar Road came to an end. Customers wouldn’t have known at the time, but the restaurant had gone out of business after almost 11 years.

“(There was) just not enough business to keep it open,” Katie Allen, general manager for the last eight years, said Tuesday. “Basically, there was a new lease to be signed and we decided not to re-sign.”
