WILLIAMSPORT – A man accused of escaping from county prison custody last week and the woman who allegedly helped him hide both were apprehended and charged by city police Wednesday.
Timothy Lee Jacobs, 33, whose last known address is in DuBoistown, was nabbed within the attic crawl space of a 47-49 Huffman St. double home owned by a woman police say is his girlfriend, Suzanne Ellen Fry, 45.
City police Agt. Stephen J. Sorage said two of his department’s officers, Lt. Steven Helm and Sgt. John McKenna, made the arrests when they visited Fry’s 49 Huffman St. home around 10 a.m.
Jacobs, who was an inmate at the county pre-release center, and Fry reportedly were taken into custody without incident and were reserved at their afternoon arraignments before District Judge Allen P. Page III.
