The winter weather advisory is now in effect until 11 PM EST this evening.
* Location, the allegheny mountains and northern mountains, mainly the higher elevations.
* Precipitation type, snow mixed with sleet at times.
* Accumulations(4 to) 6 inches on the higher elevations and generally less than 3 inches in the valleys.
* Timing, snow will continue to be moderate to heavy all evening long on the hills, but will be mixed with rain in the valleys.
* Winds, southeast 10 to 20 mph. gusts up to 30 mph.
* Impacts, snow covered roads and difficult travel.
