Woman Flips Car After Hitting Telephone Pole

Update on rollover accident on Route 6

ROULETTE – State Police have released details in the accident on Route 6 Sunday.

Susan M. Beckwith, 55, of Lewis Run, PA, was traveling West in a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt on State Route 6 Sunday at 3:30 pm when she failed to negotiate a left-hand turn in the roadway and entered the northern berm. As a result, Beckwith lost control of her vehicle, which then traveled approximately 140 feet alongside the roadway before striking a utility pole, snapping it off, and flipping her car over.

Beckwith, who was wearing a seatbelt, was treated for minor injuries at the scene and refused transport to CCMH.

Roulette Volunteer Ambulance and Fire Department responded to the accident. Fire Department personnel assisted with traffic control.

Beckwith’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Kightlinger Motors of Coudersport.

Beckwith will be charged with (not)Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
