COUDERSPORT – Coudersport-based Zito Media has closed on a fairly large business acquisition.
According to Multichannel News, the Rigas-owned cable company finalized the purchase of Galaxy Cable yesterday, which initially filed for bankruptcy in 2001. Galaxy Cable has been liquidating assets since 2003, with the Zito Media transaction being the last property for Galaxy to sell.
Zito Media initially announced it’s intention to purchase the company, which serves approximately 19,000 revenue generating units in Kentucky, Illinois, Kansas and Texas, in May.
The acquisition brings the total number of Zito Media subscribers to roughly 35,000, in 11 different states.

Now i contacted zito media that same day, they stated it should be back on the following morning, which would have been a wednesday.
