Another Successful Family Fun Fair Held In Millport

Potter County Today

Families from throughout the area turned out for Saturday’s annual Family Fun Fair at the Potter County Fairgrounds in Millport. Several organizations and agencies pulled together to assure another successful event, sponsored by the Potter County Integrated Children’s Services Team.

Many of the attendees were children for low-income families who may not have been able to afford events at the Potter County Fair. All of the games, booths and refreshments at Saturday’s event were free.

But it was about more than fun. There were health screenings, safety education exhibits, dental screenings, parent education materials and a photo identification booth where parents could obtain a free and confidential identification card, including fingerprints. Here, Trooper Delp from the Pennsylvania State Police barracks at Denton Hill assists 11-year-old Cassidy Main at the fingerprint table.
