1 min read

Potter County Boys and Girls Club will open for its second year of operation on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 3-6 pm at the Alliance Youth Barn in north Coudersport. Directors are reaching out for help from the community and from corporate and business donors. Boys and Girls Clubs provide a safe place to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals; life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, hope and opportunity. A wide variety of activities are offered, from video gaming to computer programs, hobby groups, life skills, education and career focuses, and the arts. Coudersport Alliance Church has donated the use of its youth barn and has been consistently supportive. Contributions can be dropped off or mailed to Northwest Savings Bank, 302 N. East St., Coudersport PA 16915. Checks should be made out to Boys & Girls Club of Potter County. The club is raising money by selling raffle tickets for eagle and bear wood carvings. Drawing will be held at the Falling Leaves Festival in Coudersport this weekend. More information is available the organization’s Facebook, titled “Boys & Girls Club of Potter County.”
