COUDERSPORT – On Wednesday, Potter County Judge Stephen Minor sentenced David R. Snyder, of Whitesville, NY to a total of 34 – 68 years in prison for his role in what was labeled a multi-million dollar cocaine trafficking ring in Potter County, PA.
In October of this year Snyder was convicted of 9 counts related to trafficking of cocaine and other related offenses.
Snyder was also ordered to pay $175,000 in fines and court costs.
A spokesman from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office told CoudyNews this was a major drug trafficking network which resulted in a major sentence. The spokesman said the sentence should send a clear message to anyone considering the drug trade.
The case was specially handled by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and Prosecutor Patrick F. Leonard. Snyder was represented by Attorney Joseph M. Marasco.
Should’ve just killed someone, it’s only 25 years then.
I figured the sentence would be stiff, but not this stiff!!!! My heart goes out to the family.
Funny how I see that someone convicted of rape AND murder is getting out of prison in seven years or less. Mind you, I am not condoning this guy’s actions, but sentencing guidelines seem to be a bit on the whack side of the scales of justice.
This sentance is totally wacked…thats prety much a life sentance right there YEAH he def does deserve alot of jail time but damn 30 some years is a bit pathetic..considering the other party involved only got probation!!!!
