Man Killed after Rolling Garden Tractor
1 min readWELLSBORO – A Wellsboro man was killed after the Kubota lawn tractor he was operating rolled over on top of him just after 9:00 am this morning.
State Police in Mansfield said 71-year-old Gary D. Bowen was mowing his lawn when the tractor rolled over and down an embankment. Police said the tractor flipped over into a large ditch on the north side of Cherry Flats Road. A passing motorist phoned 911.
Although lifesaving efforts were attempted, Bowen was pronounced dead at the emergency room of Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro.
Police have ruled Bowen’s death as an accident.
