Myrtle M. Bridge, 88, of 436 Derrick Rd

Myrtle M. Bridge, 88, of 436 Derrick Rd,  passed away, Tuesday, January 4th, 2011 at her residence.

Born March 29, 1922, in Wetonka, SD, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Selma (Lindquist) Anderson.

On April 28, 1946 in Mt. Jewett, she married Earl L. Bridge who died on June 3, 1989.

Mrs. Bridge was a 1940 graduate of Mt. Jewett High School and a 1943 graduate of Oil City School of Nursing. She had been employed at the Bradford Hospital for a short time pior to her marriage. She was a member of the Rogue Chapeau Mademoiselles, Chapter of the Red Hat Society.

She was a former member of the Derrick City United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two brothers: Merlin Anderson of Fairfax, VA; Duane Anderson of Kane, ten nieces and nephews and numerous grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.

At the deceased’s request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
