Natural Gas ‘Connections’ Events Planned In Emporium

connectionsCommunity leaders, people looking to start or build businesses, and local government officials are the target audiences for the “Natural Gas Connections” events scheduled March 24, April 3 and April 14 in Emporium. It is sponsored by a consortium of gas task forces and other agencies in Potter, Cameron and McKean counties and comes on the heels of similar events in Coudersport and Bradford. Schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday, March 24, Connecting Businesses to Natural Gas Industry Workshop, Cameron County Courthouse, 9 am to 4 pm. Also available through a satellite link in Kane, Coudersport and Bradford.
  • Tuesday, April 3, Connecting Non-Profits to Natural Gas Industry’s Charitable Giving Programs, 9:30 am to noon, Cameron County Courthouse and linked to sites in Coudersport, Bradford and Kane.
  • Saturday, April 14, Connecting Municipal Officials to the Natural Gas Industry, Woodland Elementary School, Emporium, 9:30-11:30. No cost to municipal officials (registration required).
  • Saturday, April 14, Natural Gas Connections Conference, 9 am to 4 pm, Cameron County High School. Businesses may make appointments to meet with representatives of energy companies and contractors.
