Oswayo Valley Library Monthly News Update

Story hour has ended for the spring and all involved had a good time. Special thanks goes out to Mrs. Fox for all the planning and organizing she did to make it a success.

Stumped on a gift for Father’s Day? The Oswayo Valley Memorial Library is raffling off a Tanto Ka-Bar knife. The drawing will take place on June 13th. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Stop by the library or see any board member for tickets.

Summer Reading begins on June 13th at 12:30 and will be held every Wednesday for 6 weeks, excluding July 4th. The theme this year is “Dream Big- Read!”. There will also be a drop-in program for teens. Registration forms are available at the library or can be printed from the library’s website at www.ovmlibrary.org. Click on the tab for Summer Reading and you’ll find some links that will give you information on the subjects that we’ll be covering this summer. Come out and join in on the fun!

The library’s book discussion group meets the last Wednesday afternoon of each month at 1:30 p.m. The next meeting will be on June 27th and we will be discussing The Faith Club. There are plenty of copies available, so stop by the library and pick one up. We would love to have you join us!

The Stitch Together Knit and Crochet group has had such fun that they are now meeting every Monday AND Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Bring along your project and join the group. They are always happy to add new members! If you don’t knit or crochet, there’s always someone available and willing to teach!

The Oswayo Valley Memorial Library’s board of directors meetings are held on the fourth Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.
