Man pleads guilty in connection with record-breaking drug bust

A Port Allegany man, who was charged in connection with last July’s record-breaking drug bust, has pleaded guilty.

51-year-old Scott Kinney was charged with Possession of Morphine with the Intent to Deliver, stemming from an incident that occurred in 2009.

Kinney also faces charges of DUI, Careless Driving, Driving on a Suspended License and other related offenses for an alleged incident that occurred after he was released from jail in August 2010 on $10,000 bail.

According to court records, Kinney was charged with the new offenses by Smethport Borough police on November 15, 2010.

He faces a Preliminary Hearing on February 7 for those charges, and sentencing for the Felony possession charge on March 3.
