BREAKING: Senate Passes Castle Doctrine

1 min read

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Senate has voted to approve the ‘Castle Doctrine’ Bill.

If signed into law, the bill would offer expanded protections to Pennsylvanians who use deadly force to protect their homes and property.

The bill was passed by the Senate and House last year, but was vetoed by Governor Rendell, who said it would escalate violence.

The bill now moves on the Governor Corbett’s desk, where it is expected to be signed.

  1. You should be allowed to protect your house and your family. If that means using deadly force on an intruder, well that person should not have been breaking the law by coming into your property. I’m old enough to remember a time when we didn’t even lock our doors at night and the keys to the car were in it. With the total disregard for others that is the norm in our society now, we must be allowed to protect ourselves. As we all know, when seconds count, the police are minutes away!
