PSP Seeks Galeton Man Accused of Assaulting Multiple Victims in Potter County Domestic Dispute

WEST BRANCH TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a Galeton man accused of assaulting multiple victims during a domestic dispute involving weapons Monday afternoon in Potter County.

According to PSP Coudersport, the incident happened at about 3 p.m. on June 22 at 738 Crippen Run Road in West Branch Township.

Police said Joshua Shawn Rudinski, 33, of Galeton, allegedly assaulted multiple victims before fleeing the scene while armed with a large knife.

Troopers were unable to locate Rudinski after the incident. A warrant for his arrest was obtained later that day, police said.

On June 23, state police conducted a second search of the area with a K9. According to PSP, the K9 search indicated Rudinski may have been picked up and transported from the area.

Police said Rudinski is believed to be armed. Anyone who encounters him is asked to immediately contact PSP Coudersport at 814-274-8690.

Rudinski is facing the following charges:

  • Aggravated assault, felony 1
  • Strangulation, felony 2
  • Terroristic threats, misdemeanor 1
  • Unlawful restraint, misdemeanor 1
  • False imprisonment, misdemeanor 2
  • Simple assault, misdemeanor 2
  • Simple assault, misdemeanor 2
  • Recklessly endangering another person, misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment, summary offense

State police noted that the information is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation continues.
