Community Volunteer Emergency Response Training To Start

Community Emergency Response Training will be held at the Coudersport Fire Station Training Center, beginning Thursday, June 23. Other sessions are scheduled for June 29, July 6 and July 13. There is no fee for the class, which runs from 10 am to 4 pm, and lunch will be provided.
CERT is a group of neighbors trained in disaster preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation. Team members will learn how to reduce or eliminate hazards in the home and workplace, safety procedures, medical treatment procedures, search and rescue techniques and related topics. Those interested in registering for the CERT program should call 274-8900.
