Coudersport Man Charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Drugs

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – On August 3, 2026, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Coudersport Patrol Unit responded to a report of a motorcycle parked along the side of Route 6 West in Pike Township, Potter County. The investigating officer, C. Chamberlain (badge 15739, employee 834206), located an individual riding the motorcycle.

During questioning, the individual provided inconsistent statements and a false name, and was unable to identify the motorcycle’s owner. PSP Coudersport then contacted the New York State Police, which confirmed the motorcycle had been reported stolen on August 2, 2026.

The suspect was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the PSP Coudersport barracks for processing. A search of the suspect uncovered illegal drugs and drug‑paraphernalia. The suspect was subsequently transferred to the Potter County Jail.

  • Receiving Stolen Property (Felony Class 3)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor)
  • Violation of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act (Misdemeanor)

Legal citations for the statutes were not listed in the public information release. The suspect’s name, age, and any bail conditions were not disclosed in the docket. No court hearing dates, magistrate or judge assignments, or sentencing information were provided.

At this time, the case remains pending in Potter County. The suspect remains incarcerated pending further court action.
