Former Wellsboro Teacher Accused of Sex with Student
WELLSBORO – Another local teacher has been accused of having sexual relations with her students, just days after news broke of a Galeton teacher’s arrest.
Former Wellsboro physical education teacher and Athletic Director, Sherri Prough, age 43, has been charged by Wellsboro Boro police with three counts of corruption of a minor(M1).
Prough is accused of having sexual intercourse with a female student, on and off school property, in 2007.
Police say the student was 17-years-old at the time.
Prough resigned from her position in February of this year.
A Preliminary Hearing has been scheduled in Judge Robert Repard’s courtroom on June 12.
