Jack W. KIRKENDALL, 80, of Galeton, PA, died Monday, April 2, 2012 in
the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA.  Born
November 8, 1931, in Wellsville, NY, he was the son of Howard and Mary
Watkins Kirkendall.  He was married to the former Donna Grant, who
survives.  Jack was a 1949 graduate of Galeton High School.  A Korean
War Veteran, he served honorably with the US Navy from 1951 – 1955.
He owned and operated Galeton Motor Sales for many years and was a
school bus driver in the Galeton Area School District for 35 years.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Galeton.
Surviving besides his wife, Donna, are:  two daughters, Kathi Eskesen
of Mansfield, PA and Patti Kirkendall of Horseheads, NY;  five
grandchildren;  three great-grandchildren;  and a sister-in-law,
Eleanor Kirkendall of Springville, NY.  In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by two brothers, Maurice Kirkendall and Robert
Kirkendall.  Friends may call at the First Presbyterian Church,
Galeton on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, with Funeral
Services following at 3:00 PM.  The Rev. Karl W. O. Runser, III and
the Rev. John Prouty will co-officiate.  Burial will be in Ulysses
Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Goodyear Hose
Company or the Gale Hose Ambulance, Galeton, PA 16922.  Arrangements
are entrusted to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses,
