Kinzua Dam Rapist and Kidnapper Arrested in Canada

1 min read

CANADA – Authorities have arrested the man they believe to have been responsible for holding a couple at gunpoint and then raping a woman at the Kinzua Dam.

Mike Beaulieu, 35, of Anson, ME, was arrested by Royal Canadian Mounted Police in New Brunswick, Canada, after PA State Police filed a sealed complaint on Monday charging Beaulieu with Rape, Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Restraint and Carrying an Unlicensed Firearm.

Beaulieu’s truck was traced back to Fort Kent, Maine, where it is believed he crossed a river to enter into Canada.

Beaulieu is a convicted sex offender, and spent four years of a 10 year sentence in prison for a 2005 gross sexual assault conviction. He was released in 2009.

He reportedly said he was going to commit suicide, but wanted to “rape someone” before he died.

His extradition status back to the US is still unclear at this time.
