Only Minor Injuries after Head-On Collision
1 min readKEATING TWP. – An Austin woman suffered only minor injuries as the result of a head-on crash that occurred on Thursday, December 23 on the Bark Shanty Road.
Police say Patrick E. Dexter, 25, of Emporium, was traveling East on the Bark Shanty Road when his 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier crossed over into the oncoming lane. As a result Dexter’s vehicle collided head-on with a 2000 Chevrolet Voyager, driven by 56-year-old Faith D. Seltzer, of Austin.
Dexter and his 1-year-old male passenger, who were both properly restrained, were uninjured in the accident. Seltzer, who was also wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital for an assessment of pain from the accident.
Dexter will be charged for not staying on his side of the road.
State Police were assisted at the crash by Austin Area Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Services.
