Thelma E. Wenrich, 91, Formerly of Ulysses

Thelma E. WENRICH, 91, formerly of Ulysses and Williamstown, PA, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA.

Born March 12, 1920, in Williamstown, PA, she was the daughter of Edward and Catherine Shomper Spittle.

On December 19, 1942, in Williamstown, she married Earl T. Wenrich, who predeceased her in 1964.

She was employed by the US Dept. of War during World War II in Reading, PA.

A lifelong resident of Williamstown, she moved to Potter County in 1998.  She was a life member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church and attended the Ulysses United Methodist Church.

Surviving are:  two sons, Rev. James T. (Bette) Wenrich of Elizabethtown, PA and Kenneth E. (Becky) Wenrich of Dalmatia, PA;  five grandchildren;  six great-grandchildren;  two brothers, Marlin (Thelma) Spittle of Millersburg, PA and James Spittle of Dornsife, PA;  and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Autumn;  two brothers, Robert and Edward;  and a sister, Kathryn Ferron.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in the Williamstown Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Williamstown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Williamstown United Methodist Church, 203 East Street, Williamstown, PA 17098.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.
